由于家里把我的毕业申请日期错过，学位申请得顺延一年。无可奈何，先准备托福考试吧。

 

我计划是分成三个部分：

第一部分是词汇复习；

第二部分是考试技巧；

第三部分是实题练习。

 

LLM要求的最低份数是托福100分，现在开始向这个目标进攻。

 

今年回国时，只在考前一天用几个小时草草看了一遍PETS3的考纲教材，就参加了国内的PET3笔试，结果是84分。自己认为失分主要是两个部分，一是考前一晚没有睡觉导致在听力部分，老是走神而失分；另一个是在写作时，也是因为睡眠不足，审题时注意力不集中而重写导至时间不够字数不足而失分。PETS3要认真一点的话，应该可以考90分以上。根据这个起点，略做复习估计PETS4也能轻松过。口试不会有问题，由于身在美国，经常使用口语和用英文写作，所以口语和写作应该已经接近25分水平了。如果PETS3确定接近CET4，而PETS4能够相当CET6的话，参考网上考生的比较，估计（只是估计）托福IBT目前能够拿到的分数大约是在85-90左右。目标其实只有10-15分的提高。但是老话说：九十半百，看起来离目标已经很近，其实还是很远。最后的这10-15分，想拿到手可不是那么容易。

 

I have to prepare the Toefl exam firstly now since my family memebers in China they had missed the 2011's application days for my undergraduate diploma of Xiamen University's Law school. It has caused one year delay of my degree application since there is only once a year.

 

My plan of preparation is devided into three section:

1. Vocabulary review;

2. Testing tactics

3. Testing practice.

 

The LLM program's English level requirement is at least TOEFL IBT 100 score. This is the purpose of preparation.

 

Personally, I think my present level it would be about 85-90 TOEFL IBT score. This is based on the PETS3 score of 84, which I took it on March 19th, 2011. The preparation of test was just using few hours of review the text book at a day before the test. I lost some scores for lack of sleep at the night before, so I missed some passages on listenning section and also misinterpreted the writing topic at beginning. So, if I would take a PETS4 test with a suitable preparation, it is very possible to get a decent score, too. Becuse the PETS4 is close to CET6, and the TOEFL is an equivalent to CET6, then my precent possible score of TOEFL could be about 85-90 since the scores of my Speaking and Writing would be about 50 already.

 

But, anyway, there is only 10-15 more scores need to pass. And it is not that easy, the last part always is the hardest part, as a Chinese old saying said.
